Drum Dumpers

YOU HAVE ENTERED DUMPER HEAVEN!

Now that you’ve got the drums into your plant, you want to get the product out.  There are basically two ways to do it: pump it or dump it.  For now, let’s talk about how to get from a few ounces to 55 gallons with the least hassle.

Here’s a low cost way to drain a drum.  The #185A cinches onto your drum and hooks up to your overhead hoist.  You can then manually turn the drum to any angle for draining.  The long chain drop lets you drain or dump way over your head.

P400A60-110 Power Drum Lifter.jpg (53086 bytes)You'll really like this #400A dumper.   Just roll it up to the drum; the drum loads easily into the unit, and you get 360° dump angle control.  Before you pick up the drum, you install a drum faucet.   Then, you lift the drum and turn it a little more than horizontal.  Now, drain off just what you need into a bucket or another drum.  Remember, keep your safety goggles on to keep splashes out of your eyes.  When you're done you can turn the drum vertical for storage, or bring the drum over to the mixing tank and dump the whole thing out at once.

Of course, if you’re doing a lot of this, you're a power user, and you'll want the power options.  The 115 volt AC lifting and tilting model is shown here.  It’s a real labor-saver when you’re dumping high off the floor, too.

We've got drum dumpers that work with fork lifts, too.  And we've got 'em for virtually any type and size drum.  Hey, it's what we do. Check us out!

Drum Handlers

THE PENTATHLON OF DRUM HANDLING?

In most plants, you’ve got to lift drums, move ‘em around, store them, drain ‘em.  Wouldn’t it be nice if there was one piece of equipment that did everything?

Well, sure it would.  But there isn’t.

But these drum handlers come awfully close.  You can use this  #405 HydraLift Karrier™ to drain one drum into another.  Pick them up in the drum storage area, and cart them out--the big wheels roll pretty smoothly.  Rotate the drum 360° a few times to mix up the contents, and drain them out.  Use a gate valve with a long handle for extra leverage and precise flow control.  Make sure to wear your safety goggles!

If I was doing a lot of this, I’d want the one of the power versions.  The electric or air power really does the job.  And for handling drums stored on their side, nothing beats the OmniLift Karrier™.  This powerhouse will do all these tricks with both vertical drums and horizontal drums.

Lifting drums with a hoist is one of the most basic tasks around the plant, and the Right lifter makes the job easy. For example, did you ever notice how hard it is to load a damaged and leaking drum into a Salvage Drum? BASCO solved this problem when we designed this #90S lifter way back in 1980. Others have since copied its simple and innovative design, but it's still the best. Works great on undamaged drums, too!

BASCO has lots and lots of drum handlers, one that’s just Right for your job. Now it's time to "Put Down The Mouse And Pick Up The PhoneSM".

Call us and learn why the best value in drum handling is at BASCO.
