A critical facet in the success of any bulk material handling system is ensuring product flow from bins and hoppers.

The SMOOT AIRJET ASSEMBLY is designed to promote the flow of pulverant type materials from hoppers by introducing periodic short jets of high velocity air directed down the wall of the hopper cone. The product is aerated and almost "slips" along the hopper wall. This semi fluid state results in reliable material flow.

 

 

 

 AIRJETS can be installed on new hoppers or retrofitted on existing hoppers, chutework or wherever additional flow assistance is required.

• Can be easily retrofit to an existing installation

• Is quiet in operation, does not make noise like a vibrator

• Very low energy consumption

• Additional Air Jets can be added at a later time at different locations in hopper or spouting if it is observed that it is needed.

 
Features

• Assembly requires clean, dry high pressure air (60-120 psi).

• Typical Air consumption: 10 Jet: 1.8-3.6 scfm 20 Jet: 3.4-6.8 scfm

• Air flow is adjustable.

• Includes an adjustable timer for air flow frequency.

• Air Tank with pre-piped air manifold.

• Solenoid available with NEMA 4X or NEMA 7&9 enclosure.

• Assembly can easily be retrofit to existing equipment.

• Additional AIRJETs can be added to equipment as flow problems are observed.

• Very quiet operation and low energy consumption.

  • Two Models Available: 10 Jet Assembly or 20 Jet Assembly
  • Installation Options:
    Shipped loose for field installation
    (new or retro-fitting existing equipment), or     Installed by Smoot as part of a system.
  • Cycle Timer Options:
    Furnished by Smoot in a NEMA 4X
    enclosure, or Furnished by Smoot in a NEMA 7&9
    enclosure, or Shipped loose for mounting in
    customer's enclosure, or Omitted completely. Timer to be
    furnished by others.
