Whether your need is for a simple local control panel or a complex graphic interface control station, system integrity and functionality are assured through Smoot Co.'s quality engineering and workmanship. Smoot Co.'s control systems automate material handling while reducing the amount of manual labor required.

Two-Door Control Panel. A color graphic display depicts the pneumatic conveying system.

Rotary AirLock Speed Controller Package. Operation of the feeder may be selected to operate locally at the panel or remotely through a PLC or Main Panel. Speed reference can also be selected locally at the panel or remotely via a 4-20mA process signal. A viewing window is provided to monitor the drive's various displays.

Smoot Control Panels are designed using U. L. listed or recognized components throughout. The latest innovations in PLC's and man-machine interfacing are also used. If it's remote, local, monitor, stand alone or interfaced, Smoot Control Panels are designed to requested specifications while keeping the operator in mind. The panels use state-of-the-art components to provide practical information to the operator.

 

 

 

 

 
Easy Access Operator Maintenance Switches. The Hand-Off-Auto Toggle switches located below the PLC are used for maintenance purposes. Toggle switches are placed in "AUTO" for system

 operations. Individual motors or devices may be operated in the "HAND" position.
Panels can be designed according to customer specifications and requirements for interfacing with existing upstream and downstream processes. Controls may be designed for future system expansion.

A standard system panel depicts the system graphically. The graphic display enables the operators to have more insight to the process they are monitoring. Operator controls are arranged in a common area for quick user reference. Indicating lights display the current operation and status of the system.

Graphic Control Panel. Designed to automatically refill volumetric feeders when requested by the feeder.

 

Quality. The internal layout of the panel's components and wiring are concise and organized. This ensures the quality of Smoot Co.'s Control Panel.
Before shipping, control panels are factory tested. The test simulates the entire control sequencing and alarm system.

Operator Interfaces. Operator interfaces are used in this panel for batching operations instead of costly batch controllers. The dedicated PLC interfaces are used for the following:

Store recipe formulations.
Display operator prompts.
Manipulate process parameters.
Start and stop the batching process
Print batching reports
